The Crocs shoes were a fad, albeit an amazing one.  What the 3 guys should have been doing, as you point out, was to take the brand into other products.

		<description>I am surprised that such a company was setup and actually did so well around such an unattractive product. they have never and will never appeal to me. however i do agree with you on the lessons to be learnt. clearly an unsustainable model. i dont buy the &quot;economic recession&quot; line. surely when tmes are tough people will look for cheaper options and this would have meant better business for Crocs??
I suppose some of the options they could  have pursued would have been to venture into related products eg. crocs t-shirts, caps, shorts and other apparel, all based on the comfortable and cheap model. i think this would have extended the life span and profitability of the business.</description>
